Are you an experienced Workshop Controller or Service Manager looking for a rare opportunity to join one of the largest Motor Retailers within the UK? If so, we have the perfect role for you. Now is the ideal time to join our Sunderland team as we continue to grow, with our purpose-built BMW & MINI preparation centre, that delivers prepared "forecourt ready" vehicles to our Northeast sites.
We are offering a basic salary of £40,000 with an OTE of up to £45,000, a company vehicle and an excellent range of Company Benefits.
The main duties of this role are:
- Responsibility for implementing and maintaining effective processes to achieve the highest possible standards and service levels.
- Manage the throughput of prep vehicles for mechanical, cosmetic, and alloy wheel repairs as well as valet and logistics, delivering a finished product in a timely fashion.
- Maximising the productivity of the team which includes Technicians, cosmetic repairers, vehicle progressors and valeters.
- Managing the team and maintaining adherence to the Vertu values.
- Ensuring that the Manufacturers/Vertu standards are adhered to at all times.
- Maintaining a safe working environment.
- Coaching and measuring colleague performance.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a successful track record within the industry. You will be able to clearly demonstrate your ability to generate outstanding results by increasing performance, profitability and operating efficiency. You must have strong leadership and people management skills in order to lead your team to deliver our business objectives. You will be expected to drive the business forward and maximise customer satisfaction whilst motivating and managing the whole team, living our company values on a daily basis.
