We are looking for a strategic and commercially minded Product Marketing Manager to lead the positioning, go-to-market planning, and ongoing commercial performance of key products across our automotive retail offering. In this role, you will sit at the intersection of product and marketing, ensuring our vehicles, finance products, and services are clearly articulated, competitively positioned, and compelling to customers. You will shape how customers understand our products, drive demand and conversion, and ensure we deliver a market-leading proposition across our portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Product Positioning & Messaging: Develop clear, compelling value propositions for vehicle categories, finance products, and services. Own messaging frameworks and ensure consistent articulation across digital, retail, CRM, and sales channels. Translate complex product information into simple customer-friendly language.
- Go-to-Market Strategy & Launch Execution: Build and lead GTM plans for new finance products, services, and retailer propositions. Coordinate cross-functional teams (retail marketing, digital, creative, CRM etc) to ensure readiness. Brief and shape campaign requirements with performance marketing, brand, and content teams. Own measurable launch outcomes and reporting.
- Market, Customer, and Competitor Insight: Conduct ongoing market analysis to understand category trends, customer needs, and competitor approaches. Identify target segments, behaviours, barriers, and opportunities across new and used vehicles. Use insights to influence product decisions, commercial priorities, and messaging.
- Commercial Performance & Lifecycle Management: Monitor performance across key product lines: leads, views, conversion. Diagnose issues and surface opportunities to improve product performance. Leverage data to refine proposition, positioning, and go-to-market levers. Support planning for seasonal peaks, OEM events, and commercial pushes.
- Sales Enablement & Retail Support: Develop training materials, sales guides, and customer-facing content to empower retail and customer experience teams. Ensure teams clearly understand new product launches, vehicle features, finance offers, and competitive advantages. Work with marketing to align in-store and online messaging.
- Content & Customer Education: Shape educational content that simplifies decision-making—EV guides, finance explainers, model comparisons, and buying journeys. Partner with content teams to ensure vehicle and product pages are accurate, persuasive, and SEO-optimised.
- Experience in product marketing, category marketing or proposition development. Ideally from automotive, e-commerce, retail, or a complex, considered-purchase environment.
- Proven ability to build and execute cross-functional GTM plans.
- Strong understanding of customer behaviour and how to translate insights into actionable strategy.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complexity.
- Commercially driven, with experience analysing performance data and identifying improvements.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including working with senior leaders.
- Experience working with OEMs or within multi-brand retail environments.
- Experience in digital-first or omnichannel retail businesses.
- Ability to create sales enablement materials or content.
- A customer-centric mindset.
- A blend of strategic thinking and hands‑on execution.
- Curiosity about the automotive market and emerging trends (EV adoption, omnichannel retail, connected services).
- A collaborative attitude with the confidence to influence across functions.
- A passion for improving customer experiences and commercial results.
- 25 days holiday rising with length of service – plus bank holidays.
- Access to our online rewards platform giving you cash back and discounts for multiple retailers.
- Preferential Service Rates.
- Colleague Purchase Scheme.
- Share Incentive Scheme.
- Pension.
- Enhanced Maternity and Paternity.
