About the Role:
We are looking for a motivated and detail‑driven Accounts Assistant to join our Finance Team in our Head Office in Gateshead. This role covers a wide range of banking, treasury, payroll, and reconciliation responsibilities, supporting accurate and efficient financial operations across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Banking & Treasury
- Completing bank reconciliations.
- Managing VPAY bank accounts.
- Processing intercompany transfers.
- Handling treasury deposits, treasury loans, and administering treasury fines.
- Updating and maintaining cash flow reporting.
- Processing payroll payments and payroll transfers.
- Administering court orders relating to payroll.
- Managing insurance monies and associated transactions.
- Acting as Barclays system administrator, including user amendments and system updates.
- Managing CBS processes.
- Handling service plan payments and reconciliations.
- Completing a range of account reconciliations.
- Supporting month‑end and year‑end activities when required.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience in an accounts or finance support role.
- Demonstrates accuracy and strong numerical skills.
- Can manage a varied workload and work to deadlines.
- Is confident using finance systems and Excel.
- Has a proactive, problem‑solving approach.
- AAT qualification (or currently studying) is preferred but not essential.
