Salary £43,000–£45,000 DOE + £200 Callout Standby + Excellent Package

We are working with a growing and highly reputable facilities management contractor with established and stable contracts nationwide.

They are looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join an established on-site engineering team, supporting a prestigious, globally recognised client within a modern, high-profile commercial environment.

This is a static role based in Chertsey, carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance alongside wider building-services support.

The Role

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive electrical maintenance across the site.
  • Complete electrical fault finding, diagnosis and repairs.
  • Maintain power distribution, lighting, emergency systems and associated electrical plant.
  • Carry out electrical replacements, remedial works and minor upgrades.
  • Complete inspections and testing and maintain accurate compliance records.
  • Ensure electrical works comply with BS 7671 and relevant regulations.
  • Respond to faults and help minimise disruption to the client's operations.
  • Support wider building-services maintenance within your level of competency.
  • Liaise with contractors, colleagues and the wider Facilities Management team.
  • Provide a professional, client-facing service within a high-profile commercial environment.
  • Complete job records and maintenance documentation accurately.

The Person

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold an NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification or recognised equivalent.
  • Ideally hold the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
  • Have strong experience carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance.
  • Have good electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Have experience maintaining electrical systems within commercial buildings.
  • Ideally have experience working within high-end offices, corporate environments, hospitality, retail, leisure or similar quality commercial sites.
  • Be comfortable working independently while contributing to a wider engineering team.
  • Have strong communication and client-facing skills.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence.

The Team

You will join an established on-site team of five engineers, consisting of:

  • 2 Electrical Engineers
  • 1 M&E Engineer
  • 1 Plumbing Engineer
  • 1 Fabric Engineer

You will also be supported by an experienced Technical Lead and Senior Operations Manager.

Callout

  • Callout rota of approximately 1 week in 5.
  • £200 standby payment for the callout week.
  • Additional applicable callout payments.

Package

  • Salary £43,000–£45,000 DOE.
  • Permanent, full-time position.
  • Static role based in Chertsey.
  • Monday to Friday.
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
