Building Maintenance / Fabric Engineer
Newcastle & Surrounding Areas
Permanent, Full Time
£32,092 including standby allowance + Company Vehicle + Door-to-Door Travel and Excellent Package
We are working with a reputable, fast-growing national facilities management contractor with a strong company culture and ambitious plans for continued growth.
Due to expansion, they are looking to recruit a Building Maintenance / Fabric Engineer to join their mobile team, working across a commercial retail contract throughout Newcastle and the surrounding areas.
The Role
- Carry out a wide range of general building maintenance and fabric works across commercial sites.
- Complete reactive repairs and planned maintenance.
- Undertake basic plumbing, carpentry, flooring and general building repairs.
- Carry out both internal and external maintenance works.
- Work independently across a mobile retail portfolio.
- Identify faults and complete repairs efficiently and to a high standard.
- Provide a professional service when dealing with clients and site teams.
- Complete relevant job reports and paperwork accurately.
- The Person
- A strong all-round maintenance engineer with experience across several building maintenance trades.
- Previous experience in areas such as carpentry, plumbing, flooring and general fabric repairs.
- Experience working within commercial properties.
- Comfortable working independently in a mobile role.
- Flexible with travel throughout Newcastle and surrounding areas.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Professional, reliable and customer-focused.
