We are working with a highly reputable and well-known facilities management contractor who provides all-round building maintenance services to clients throughout the UK. Due to continued expansion, we are currently looking to recruit a Maintenance Electrician.
You will be responsible for carrying out a variety of electrical maintenance works to a large supermarket chain throughout the region. Your duties will include:
- Completing the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timescales and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.
- Responding promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk, assessing the requirements of the job, and carrying out repairs as necessary.
- Prioritising maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times.
- Conducting emergency lighting tests and repairs.
- Identifying non-repairable faults in both plant and machinery, as well as general repairs, and promptly advising the Line Manager of findings with recommendations regarding suitable replacements.
- Ensuring that compliance documentation is completed and up to date at all times.
- Advising the on-site customer (manager) of any repair and maintenance issues that are likely to affect the smooth running of the site.
- Carrying out minor alterations and installations within your technical competence in accordance with current specifications.
- Completing general repairs and maintenance to customer sites, e.g., door repairs and general plumbing tasks.
- Attending training courses as necessary to ensure personal job skills keep pace with technical developments.
You will be part of a 24/7 call-out rota.
Person Specification:
- You will be qualified electrically and must hold Electrical Level 3 or equivalent, 18th edition, and AM2.
- You will have electrical maintenance experience on commercial sites and ideally some general building maintenance/fabric experience - PPM and reactive repairs.
- You will live locally and be happy with travel throughout the region and further when needed.
- Ability to maintain and repair a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment, e.g., commercial ovens, dishwashers, and microwaves.
- You must have a full UK driving licence.
- Good IT skills.
Package:
- Base salary: £40,593 inclusive of callout.
- Vehicle.
- Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.
