Vertpaint are looking for experienced Level Designers to be part of shaping the core experience of an exciting new IP. We are looking for candidates to join our client services team. You will be working on a level-based single player narrative driven sci-fi game from some of the games industry’s most celebrated veterans.

What we’re looking for

Experience and Essentials:

  • Strong familiarity with Unreal Engine Editor and Level Blueprints.
  • Create playable in-game environments from whitebox to polish stages.
  • A strong artistic eye for composition, architecture, pacing, and atmosphere.
  • Regularly review and test content, actioning feedback from the client and Leads.
  • Collaboration with Game Designers, Artists and Animators to ensure gameplay feels smooth and looks polished in game.
  • Client facing communication – delivering high quality update materials and documentation of your work.
  • A portfolio of relevant work – showcasing high quality level design.

Nice to have:

  • Enthusiasm for momentum based games and their mechanics.
  • A passion for classic science fiction and its themes.
  • Experience working in a remote setting.
  • Familiarity with Perforce and other version control software.
  • Familiarity with Notion productivity tools.
