Overview:
We\βre looking for a skilled Hard Surface Environment Artist with a strong eye for detail
and composition. You should be comfortable working from concept art as well as designing
from scratch when concepts are limited. The ideal candidate has solid mid-poly workflow
experience, utilizing tilable materials, decals and trim sheets.
Responsibilities:
β Create hard surface environments with a focus on visual storytelling and functional
design
β Work from concepts, blockouts, or written briefs to produce detailed environments
β Design assets from scratch when concept art is unavailable
β Follow mid-poly workflows optimized for real-time engines
β Utilize tillable materials, decals and trim sheets.
β Collaborate with art leads, designers, and other artists to ensure visual consistency
β Set up appealing asset presentation (turntables, lighting, materials) for reviews and
portfolio documentation
Requirements:
β Proficient in Blender (or other 3D DCCs, but Blender preferred)
β Strong grasp of hard surface modeling and mid-poly techniques
β Comfortable designing believable sci-fi / industrial / mechanical forms
β Able to follow direction but also self-sufficient when problem-solving or improvising
designs
β Good understanding of shape language, proportion, and detail hierarchy
β Experience with Unreal Engine
