QA Inspector
Location: Oxfordshire Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:30am – 5:00pm | Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm (37.5 hours per week)
We're looking for a detail-focused QA Inspector to join our Quality team.
This is a hands-on role supporting quality assurance activities across goods-in inspection, manufacturing, and production, helping to ensure products meet both customer and company quality standards.
- What you'll be doing
- Inspect incoming materials and components against engineering drawings, specifications, and certification requirements.
- Raise and support non-conformance reports (NCRs) when quality issues are identified.
- Carry out regular quality inspections throughout production and assembly areas.
- Prepare quality and certification documentation for finished products.
- Coordinate and maintain the calibration of measuring equipment, including arranging external calibration services and completing in-house calibrations.
- Keep quality records up to date and support internal and external audits.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects, including 5S and lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Assist with other quality-related duties as required.
What we're looking for
Essential
- Previous experience in a quality inspection or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience using inspection and measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
- Experience with calibration processes and maintaining calibration records.
- Good administration and computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Desirable
- Experience using SAP or a similar ERP system.
- Knowledge of CMM, shadowgraph, surface testing, or other advanced inspection equipment.
- Understanding of hydraulic products or engineering components.
- Full UK driving licence.
