An established and growing boutique law firm specialising in corporate and commercial matters is looking to engage an experienced solicitor on a remote consultancy basis.
With over a decade of successful trading and a strong portfolio of repeat and referral clients, the practice advises a broad range of businesses on corporate transactions, commercial agreements, and governance matters. As deal flow continues to increase, we are seeking additional legal support from a commercially aware solicitor who can work autonomously and deliver high-quality drafting assistance.
This position is ideally suited to a solicitor seeking flexibility, autonomy, and exposure to varied corporate and commercial work without the structure of a traditional full-time role. You will work directly alongside the Principal Solicitor, assisting behind the scenes on active transactions and client matters. The focus of the role is efficient drafting, document review, and transactional support, helping ensure matters progress smoothly and deadlines are met.
The role is entirely remote and offered on a contract/consultancy basis, with work provided according to business and transaction requirements.
Your work is likely to include:
- Preparing and revising corporate and commercial documentation
- Drafting agreements including:
- Share Purchase Agreements
- Shareholders Agreements
- Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreements
- Commercial contracts and ancillary transaction documents
- Assisting with company governance documentation such as:
- Board minutes
- Written resolutions
- Corporate approvals
- Managing amendments and document mark-ups accurately and efficiently
- Turning around work within agreed timescales
- Applying practical, commercially focused judgement where appropriate
- Supporting transactions in a responsive and proactive manner
About You
We are looking for someone who is confident working independently and comfortable managing drafting responsibilities with minimal supervision. You will ideally have:
- Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales
- Around 3-7 years post-qualification experience
- A solid background in corporate and/or commercial law
- Experience gained within a respected private practice firm or in-house legal environment
- Strong technical drafting ability and attention to detail
- A pragmatic and business-minded approach to legal work
- The ability to prioritise effectively and work to tight deadlines
- Professionalism, reliability, and responsiveness
Working Arrangement
- Remote working role
- Freelance / consultant / contract engagement
- Flexible hours depending on workflow and transactions
- Ongoing ad hoc legal support requirement
- Competitive remuneration available on an hourly or project basis
Why This Role?
This opportunity offers the chance to work with a reputable and expanding boutique practice while maintaining flexibility and control over your schedule. It is particularly well suited to solicitors seeking high-quality transactional work in a more agile and remote working environment.
