People's Coffee are recruiting for a Kitchen Supervisor based on the beautiful Mountbatten Pier, 101 Lawrence Road, Plymouth. This is an exciting opportunity to join their friendly team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Kitchen Manager on a day to day basis
- Managing the kitchen porters
- Making sure the kitchen is a safe and hygienic place to work
- Helping to plan menus, apportion ingredients and use food surpluses
- Assisting with the preparation and serving of all meals and beverages to customers
- Ensuring that the kitchen and service areas are clean and tidy
- Ensuring health and safety regulations are followed
- Ensuring team is managed effectively
- Ensuring that all food items and products are stored, prepared and served based on the Cafe's recipe, preparation and portion standards
- Assisting in ordering kitchen materials and ingredients based on the menu and market demand
- Maintaining clean working environments and making sure that employees follow the cafe's preventive maintenance measures
- Maintaining adequate inventory levels and conducting weekly inventories
Skills, Knowledge and Aptitude:
- Previous experience working in a kitchen environment
- Previous supervisory experience
- Exceptional customer service skills
- A flexible can do attitude
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to multi-task within a fast paced environment
Qualifications and Training - Essential:
- Valid First Aid at Work certificate
- Food Safety Level 2
