Location Summary: London, England – 23 Bloomsbury Square, central London.

Position Summary: We seek a highly motivated, student‑oriented educator with a commitment to undergraduate teaching and experiential education. The role involves teaching courses based on provided syllabi, embedding active and experiential learning, and working closely with faculty and program staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver course(s) using the provided academic policies, syllabi, LMS (Canvas), and textbooks.
  • Adhere to local and global faculty and course requirements, including contact hour delivery and schedule adherence.
  • Create inclusive learning environments and treat all students with respect.
  • Design discipline‑based, up‑to‑date course content and applied learning experiences, incorporating active, experiential, and technology‑enhanced pedagogies.
  • Evaluate student assignments, provide formative feedback, and assess mastery of course outcomes.
  • Engage in faculty training & development (10 hours per semester for new faculty; additional ongoing development), and attend faculty meetings.
  • Conduct weekly office hours, respond promptly to student inquiries, and communicate with local academic staff in emergencies.
  • Champion student success, monitor attendance and engagement, and refer students to support services as needed.
  • Enforce attendance and academic integrity policies, addressing grading questions and appeals in collaboration with local staff.
  • Maintain accurate academic records in LMS and Banner, and submit grades on time.
  • Foster respectful learning environments, model conflict negotiation, and audit materials for diversity representation.
  • Build collaborative relationships with participants, staff, and community partners.
  • Share feedback with local and global academic leaders to recommend improvements.
  • Participate in curriculum development projects and assessment initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as reasonably assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree required; terminal degree (PhD) in Hospitality, Food and Cuisine or related field preferred.
  • Minimum eighteen graduate credits in the relevant field.
  • At least two years of teaching experience in Hospitality, Food and Cuisine, with at least one year at the university level.
  • Demonstrated success teaching students with varied learning styles and abilities.
  • Appreciation for and experience working with diverse student populations.
  • Openness to feedback and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfort implementing policies and classroom standards.
  • Passion for active, experiential, reflective, discussion‑based learning and helping students build meaning.
  • Eager to collaborate and work in teams.
  • Legal right to work in the country for the full duration; visas not sponsored.
