An Electrical Installation Engineer / Technician will be responsible for the electrical installation, servicing, and repair of industrial pumps primarily within the wastewater industry, including submersible pumps, booster systems, drainage pumps, control panels, and associated control systems.

The role includes:

  • Installing electrical panels and pumps both at the depot and on customer sites, including wiring, connecting, testing, and calibrating systems.
  • Collaborating on mechanical aspects of installations such as pipework assembly, kit loading/unloading, and on-site support.
  • Diagnosing and resolving faults efficiently to minimise downtime, including working with three-phase motors and variable speed drives.
  • Maintaining accurate logs of work completed, installations, repairs, and servicing.
  • Liaising with clients to ensure installations and repairs meet operational and safety expectations.

Requirements:

  • Experience with electrical installation and maintenance of pumps and related components such as booster sets, three-phase electrics, variable speed drives, control panels and wiring, level/flow sensors, level control systems, electric motors of compressors or rotating machinery.
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Technician, Service Engineer, Pump Engineer, Electrical Pump Engineer, Maintenance Electrician, Water Treatment Engineer, Field Service Engineer, or Installation Electrician.
  • Hold a valid JIB Gold card, ECS Gold Card, or an alternative is essential.
  • Hands-on experience with submersible pumps, especially Flygt, Tsurumi, and Grundfos, is beneficial.
  • Experience with three-phase electrics is an advantage.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
  • 2391 Inspection and Testing qualification or equivalent is a benefit, but not essential.
  • Knowledge of 18th Edition wiring regulations and Health & Safety standards.
