A Maintenance Engineer/Mechanical Fitter/Mechanical Engineer is required to join a heavy engineering and manufacturing business based in the West Midlands. Due to ongoing operational and maintenance requirements, the business is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to provide engineering support across hydraulic press systems and wider site equipment, ensuring maximum reliability, safety, and uptime.
Package: £13.98 per hour, plus shift allowance, 40 hours a week, 06:00 till 16:00 Monday to Thursday.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain Press Machines (preventative and reactive).
- Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimise downtime.
- Carry out hydraulic system servicing, monitoring, and fault-finding.
- Support press reliability improvement projects.
- Assist with training and supporting apprentices within the maintenance team.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or a Mechanical Fitter.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with hydraulic press systems.
- Background in mechanical maintenance.
- Level 3, or equivalent qualification.
- Commutable to site location.
