Trainee Commissioning Engineer / Trainee Service Engineer / Trainee Mechanical Engineer required to join a global, leading engineering manufacturer. The successful candidate will be responsible for the mechanical fitting, service, maintenance, installation, and commissioning of bespoke mechanical systems, predominantly containment systems for biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, medical device, and aerospace markets. This is a workshop based role in Stockport with worldwide travel and staying away when required (overtime and staying away allowances paid). Full product training provided.
The candidate will ideally have a mechanical or electro-mechanical background, a willingness to learn advanced engineering systems, and the flexibility to travel while supporting a wide range of hands-on engineering activities.

Role:
- Assist with the service, maintenance, and repair of containment isolators and associated mechanical systems.
- Support installation, assembly, and commissioning activities at customer sites once fully trained.
- Conduct basic fault finding across mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical components.
- Carry out mechanical assembly, airflow testing, FAT/SAT, and commissioning once trained.
- Liaise with various engineering departments.
Requirements:
- Mechanical or electro-mechanical service or installation background.
- Willingness to learn complex containment systems and follow structured training.
- Mechanical or electrical qualification, degree, apprentice trained is advantageous.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to join a global manufacturer.
