Specification Sales Engineer / Electrical Sales Engineer / Consultant Sales Engineer required to join a global power distribution manufacturer supporting major commercial and public-sector building projects across the UK. The successful Specification Sales Engineer will be responsible for developing relationships with M&E consultants, influencing specifications, and promoting low to medium voltage switchgear and switchboard solutions across the commercial building sector. This is a high-impact, field-based role with significant autonomy and direct involvement in major specification opportunities.
You will have a strong technical background in power distribution equipment, experience working with consultants and contractors, and the ability to confidently specify into large-scale building projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify, influence, and secure project specifications with M&E consultants and design engineers
- Drive specification-led sales for low/medium voltage switchgear and switchboards
- Develop and manage a strong pipeline of commercial building projects using CRM tools
- Collaborate with internal project teams, engineering, and sales support for successful delivery
- Attend consultant meetings, events, and technical sessions to represent the business
Requirements
- Experience as a Specification Sales Engineer / Electrical Sales Engineer / Consultant Sales or Technical Sales Engineer
- Background in low or medium voltage switchgear or switchboards (essential)
- Proven track record of influencing specifications in the commercial buildings sector
- Comfortable working closely with consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders
- Must be willing to travel to London 2 days per week as a core part of the role
