Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer / Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Electrical Maintenance Engineer required to join a manufacturer of industrial systems and process equipment based in Sheffield. The successful Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for the installation, repair, and preventive maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems across a manufacturing site. This is a shift-based role working on a wide range of production and facility equipment.
You will have experience with pumps, rotating equipment, and mechanical overhauls, alongside exposure to electrical systems, PLCs, and general fault finding. Apprentice training and NVQ Level 3 qualifications are required.
Package: Β£45,000 depending on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment
- Strip down, repair, and rebuild pumps, valves, motors, and production systems
- Support installation, commissioning, and improvement of plant equipment
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and spare parts usage
- Work within safety, quality, and environmental compliance frameworks
Requirements:
- Apprentice trained with NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Proven experience in maintaining industrial machinery and rotating equipment
- Confident with pump maintenance, bearing and seal replacements, and fault finding
- Bonus experience: basic welding, electrical maintenance, PLC programming (Allen Bradley/Siemens)
- Must be commutable to Sheffield
