A Sales Specialist / Technical Sales Manager / Business Development Manager is required to join a leading international technology business and develop sales across the DACH and Nordic regions. The Sales Specialist will manage existing customer relationships while generating new business for radar, underground-mapping and infrastructure-monitoring solutions. This is a senior, autonomous sales position covering a significant international territory.

You will manage the complete sales cycle and develop relationships with public authorities, major engineering companies, infrastructure owners and construction organisations.

Role

  • Develop and execute sales strategies across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland.
  • Generate new business while managing and expanding established customer accounts.
  • Promote radar, underground-mapping and infrastructure-monitoring equipment within the civil engineering market.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and opportunity development through to negotiation and closing.
  • Build relationships with public authorities, engineering consultancies, infrastructure operators, construction companies, distributors and industry partners.
  • Present and demonstrate technical products to engineers, commercial stakeholders and senior decision-makers.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements and coordinate installation, delivery and commissioning requirements.
  • Independently manage your schedule and regional travel according to customer and commercial priorities.
  • Maintain accurate customer information, opportunities and forecasts using Salesforce.
  • Work closely with Product Management, Marketing, Finance, Service and Delivery teams.
  • Provide market and customer feedback to support product development and regional sales strategy.
  • Represent the business at exhibitions, trade shows and industry events.

Requirements

  • Proven B2B sales experience selling technical or engineered products directly to end users.
  • Experience within civil engineering, construction, infrastructure, surveying, geotechnical, geological, geophysical or another relevant technical market.
  • Strong new-business development and account-management experience.
  • Experience managing the complete sales process, including lead generation, presentations, negotiation and closing.
  • Able to work independently across a large international territory without day-to-day supervision.
  • Native or mother-tongue German.
  • Business-fluent written and spoken English.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the DACH and Nordic regions.
  • Strong commercial, presentation, negotiation and relationship-management skills.
  • Experience using CRM systems; Salesforce experience would be advantageous.
  • Experience with Ground Penetrating Radar, cable-locator systems, underground mapping, structural investigation or infrastructure-monitoring equipment would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • The technical background can remain relatively broad. Applicants with experience selling engineered products to similar customers who can quickly learn the product portfolio will also be considered.
  • A qualification in geology, geophysics, civil engineering or another related technical discipline would be beneficial.
