Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Applications Engineer required to join a global electrical engineering manufacturer. The successful candidate shall work fully remote, visiting customers across the South East and East Midlands.
You will be responsible for new business development and key account management for electrical switchgear and metering products both directly with Consultants, Contractors, and indirectly via panel builders / distributors. The successful candidate will ideally have technical sales and applications experience within electrical engineering such as switchgear, power distribution, power electrics, power monitoring or similar electrical engineering products. Full product training provided.
Package:
- £40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience

Responsibilities:
- Develop and grow sales across your territory, managing a blend of new business and existing key accounts.
- Negotiate project pricing with Project Managers within agreed timescales and budgets.
- Meet regularly with local panel builders, contractors, and consultants to identify and secure project opportunities.
- Provide technical product and application support for customers and the sales team.
- Promote and specify electrical switchgear and metering products across relevant market sectors.
- Liaise with various engineering departments.
- Fully remote, with regular travel across the South East and East Midlands.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a technical sales role such as Sales Engineer, Area Sales Manager, Technical Sales Engineer, Applications Engineer, or similar within electrical engineering.
- Strong knowledge of the electrical market, particularly contractors, consultants, panel builders, and their routes to market.
- Background selling electrical products such as switchgear, power distribution, power monitoring, or power electrics.
- An electrical engineering degree or qualification would be advantageous.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel daily across the South East and East Midlands regions.
