Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager required to join a global leading engineering manufacturer. The successful Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager will be responsible for key account management with major customers and new business development for valve products and solutions in to various industries across the North East UK via distribution and OEM channels. The Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager will ideally have experience selling mechanical engineering products such as valves, actuators, steam solutions, pumps, rotating equipment, compressors, process machinery, machine tools or similar mechanical engineering products. Full product training provided. Internal Sales or Service Engineers with valves experience looking to progress in to area sales are encouraged to apply. Package £35,000-£45,000 depending on experience Bonus Car 25 days holiday plus bank holidays High pension scheme Additional company benefits Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager Role Managing a number of key accounts via distribution channels and OEM customers of valves equipment in to various industries including chemical, oil & gas, energy, food & beverage amongst others. Manage and grow existing relationships as well as business development for safety valve products and solutions across the North East UK. Maintaining new safety valves sales with demonstration, exhibition and negotiation in order to achieve targets. Working closely with the Valves service department to ensure an excellent standard of after-sales service is provided. Completing safety valve product selections, preparing quotes & following up on quotations & projects. Liaise with various engineering departments. Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager Requirements Experience as a Area Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Business Development Manager, Key Account Manager, Technical Sales Engineer, UK Sales Manager or similar having sold a mechanical engineering product. Experience selling mechanical engineering products such as valves, actuators, steam solutions, pumps, rotating equipment, compressors, process machinery, machine tools or similar mechanical engineering products. Full product training provided. Proven sales background within safety valves, actuators, steam solutions, control valves, solenoid valves, pressure relief valves, valve hatches or similar valves related products and / or solutions would be preferred. Internal Sales or Service Engineers with valves experience looking to progress in to area sales are encouraged to apply. Determination, enthusiasm, and motivation to succeed and grow with a reputable safety valves manufacturer. A technical mechanical engineering, or instrumentation qualification, Apprentice trained, HNC, HND or degree would be advantageous.
