Regional Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager required to join a global manufacturer of advanced CNC, precision machining and grinding equipment, supplying into industrial sectors such as precision engineering, aerospace, electronics, medical and tooling.

As Regional Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving new business growth, managing existing customer accounts, and executing strategic sales initiatives across the UK & Ireland. You will be selling high-tech capital equipment and working with engineering, applications, and service teams to manage the entire sales lifecycle. The role will work remotely, covering the UK & Ireland, with periodic visits to the office in the Midlands and very occasional visits to their office in Europe.

The ideal applicant will be based in a suitable location to cover the UK & Ireland, like Birmingham, Manchester, Nottingham, Oxford, Gloucester or others and come from a CNC machine tools / CNC machine / similar Engineering background with Sales experience.

Package:

  • £55,000 - £65,000 base salary (dependant on experience) + commission

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new sales opportunities and increase sales with key accounts across the UK & Ireland
  • Develop new business opportunities and maintain strong relationships with existing customers
  • Prepare detailed sales forecasts, manage pipeline and reporting via CRM
  • Create and present tailored proposals for customers including machine tools, software, and aftermarket solutions
  • Collaborate with engineering and project teams to deliver complex capital equipment projects on time and on budget
  • Attend exhibitions, trade shows and industry events to promote product portfolio
  • Act as the key customer interface throughout the sales cycle
  • Support cash collection and payment terms
  • Coordinate with global account managers on multinational clients
  • Remote position, with travel across UK & Ireland, periodic visits to UK office

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Regional Sales Manager / Technical Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager / Key Account Manager
  • Proven experience selling into industrial sectors such as precision engineering, aerospace, electronics, medical or tooling is advantageous
  • Willing to travel regularly across UK & Ireland, with very occasional European travel
  • Full UK driving licence
