The predicted salary is between 50000 - 65000 Β£ per year.

An M&E Quantity Surveyor is required for a mechanical and electrical contracting role supporting the commercial delivery of projects in West London. This role is suited to a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor with an M&E contracting background, able to work across contract terms, variations, procurement, cash flow, project reporting and final account payments. You will work closely with project teams, clients and the subcontractor supply chain to reduce commercial risk and support successful project delivery.

The M&E Quantity Surveyor Role:

  • Review contract terms and manage commercial correspondence, working with legal counsel where required
  • Attend site meetings and advise on contractual and commercial project issues
  • Value variations and monitor project performance
  • Interpret project documentation to identify commercial opportunities and risks
  • Prepare monthly reports, including Job Costing Reports
  • Support procurement by placing supplier and subcontractor orders in a timely manner
  • Produce cash flows and ensure correct notices are issued in line with contract requirements
  • Prepare and submit client applications, reconcile reports and support final account payments

M&E Quantity Surveyor Requirements:

  • Experience as a Quantity Surveyor, M&E Quantity Surveyor, Commercial Quantity Surveyor or similar within a mechanical and electrical contracting environment
  • Mechanical or electrical degree
  • Strong understanding of contract terms, variations, commercial correspondence and project cost control
  • Experience working with clients, project teams and subcontractor supply chains
  • Ability to identify commercial risks and support dispute resolution
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work with stakeholders at different levels
  • Able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and maintain strong attention to detail
  • Project management certification, such as PMP, would be advantageous
