Buyer / Procurement Specialist / Purchasing Specialist required for a global manufacturer based in Elland. The successful Buyer / Procurement Specialist / Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing and ensuring the timely delivery of materials, components, and supplies across multiple sites. You will manage supplier relationships, optimise inventory and work closely with production, engineering and finance teams to ensure operations run smoothly.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct material requirements analysis and raise purchase orders to ensure timely and accurate delivery
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with procurement policies
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve order discrepancies, delays or quality issues
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier profiles, and material master data
- Support production and engineering teams with inventory planning and material availability
- Analyse operational and sales trends to make data-driven procurement decisions
- Act as key user for SAP MM/PP modules, maintaining master data and monitoring transactions
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement process improvements
- Collaborate with finance to ensure timely invoice processing and payments
Requirements:
- Experience in a similar role as a Buyer / Procurement Specialist / Purchasing Specialist in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Proficiency with SAP or other ERP / MRP systems
- Knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and inventory control
