Engineering Manager / Site Manager / Branch Manager required to join a global, leading engineering supplier. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of Sales Engineers, Supply Chain, and General Engineering teams. This role will focus on overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless collaboration between teams, driving efficiency, and supporting the successful delivery of various pneumatic & hydraulic products and solutions, plus managing relationships with existing customers and distributors while developing new business opportunities in the Fluid Power sector.

The role must have a proven ability to lead and inspire engineering teams, drive performance, and implement high-quality standards. You will ideally have a background in fluid power, specifically Pneumatics & hydraulics, or related sectors. We are looking for a dynamic manager who can enhance operations, optimise team performance, and deliver impactful results.

Package: £50,000 - £60,000 depending on experience, 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays, Company pension, Company Car, Bonus, Additional benefits.

Role:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Sales Engineers, supply chain, and general engineering teams within fluid power, specifically hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Drive team performance and optimise operations to meet company objectives.
  • Manage relationships with existing customers and distributors while developing new business opportunities in the Fluid Power sector.
  • Maintain effective inventory management, stock control, and logistics to ensure smooth operations.
  • Liaise with various engineering departments.
  • Handle fluid power sales-related activities, including providing product demonstrations, attending exhibitions, and negotiating sales.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Branch Manager, Depot Manager, Operations Manager, Engineering Manager, Site Manager, Sales Manager or in a similar leadership role within an engineering environment.
  • Experience with Pneumatics and Hydraulics is essential.
  • Knowledge of Fluid Power products, such as Valves, Pumps, Filtration, Compressors, Vacuum Systems, Blowers, Motors, or similar mechanical engineering products, is highly desirable.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, and motivating teams to deliver impactful results for hydraulic solutions.
  • Solid experience in managing day-to-day operations, including sales, customer service, inventory control, and logistics.
  • Sales Manager, Account Manager, Service Manager, Design Manager or Internal Sales Engineer looking to step up into a Site Manager role will also be considered.
  • Ability to commute to Basingstoke daily.
  • An engineering degree or equivalent qualifications are advantageous.
