Quality Engineer / Compliance Engineer / Continuous Improvement Engineer required for a global, leading engineering manufacturer. The successful candidate shall be site based near Newton Abbott, focusing on improving quality across an engineering environment, maintaining ISO 9001 systems, managing non-conformances and working with engineering, operations and supply chain teams to resolve technical quality issues.

The role involves:

  • Maintaining and improving the Business Management System in line with ISO 9001:2015.
  • Managing internal and external non-conformances, investigations and corrective actions.
  • Leading structured problem-solving activity using methods such as 5 Why and 8D.
  • Working with internal teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
  • Supporting audits, quality reporting, inspection processes and customer or supplier quality activity.

Requirements:

  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001.
  • Experience managing quality systems, processes, documentation or non-conformance activity.
  • Confident investigating quality issues and supporting corrective actions.
  • Strong communication, organisation and teamwork skills.
  • Engineering, manufacturing, hydraulic, pneumatic, fluid power, DefStan or QASAR experience would be advantageous.

Package: Circa £35k, Pension, 25 days holidays plus bank holidays, Additional benefits.
