Key Account Manager / Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager required to join an award winning engineering supplier. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing key accounts and driving business growth for compressed air products and contract services throughout Midlands, including Birmingham, Nottingham, Leicester, Sheffield and surrounding areas, via end-user channels. Full product training provided.

The role involves:

  • Managing a portfolio of prestige key accounts through end-user channels in the compressed air sector, including compressors, dryers, blowers, filtration systems, and other related products.
  • Developing new business opportunities for compressed air products and services within the Midlands region.
  • Maintaining new compressor sales through demonstrations, exhibitions, and negotiation to achieve targets.
  • Working closely with the Compressed Air Service Department to ensure excellent after-sales service.
  • Fully remote with regular travel across the Midlands.

Requirements:

  • Experience managing prestige key accounts within mechanical engineering, production, or manufacturing.
  • Sales experience for mechanical products is advantageous such as compressors, pumps, valves, vacuum systems, filtration, blowers, nitrogen generators, pneumatics, hydraulics, capital equipment, rotating equipment, MRO, or related products.
  • Technical qualification such as Apprentice training, HNC, HND, or Degree would be beneficial.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • Willingness to learn and develop in a high-performing, technical sales environment.

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience. High bonus scheme, company car, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, phone, laptop, plus additional benefits, pension.
