Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer required to join a global, market leading engineering manufacturer. The Successful Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer will provide mechanical repair, service, and maintenance plus electrical fault finding on high speed rotating equipment, predominantly centrifugal compressors at customer sites UK wide.
The Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer will ideally have a field service background in the compressed air industry or strong electromechanical experience on rotating equipment such as Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Compressors, Gearboxes, Diesel Engines, Centrifuges, Reciprocating Engines, Controls and Instrumentation, Generators, Pumps or similar. Full product training provided.
Package: £40,000-£50,000 depending on experience, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, Company Van, Company shares scheme, Pension, Healthcare, Additional benefits.
Role:To provide electrical and mechanical repair, service, and maintenance of centrifugal compressed air equipment at customer sites. The Compressor Service Engineer will undertake planned and preventative maintenance, provide advice, diagnostics and technical support. Provide mechanical repair, service, and maintenance plus electrical fault finding and programming on centrifugal compressors at customer sites UK wide. Installing compressed air products into all forms of the manufacturing industry. Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs on centrifugal compressed air equipment. Liaise with various engineering departments.
Requirements:- Proven diagnostic skills on complicated electrical / mechanical engineering systems.
- Experience as a Field Service Engineer / Service Engineer / Service Technician / Installation Engineer / Compressor Engineer / Mechanical Engineer / M&E Engineer / Electrical Engineer or similar.
- The ability in maintaining good professional working relationships with existing and new customers.
- Good working knowledge of three phase electrics and controls is advantageous.
- Field service background in the compressed air industry or strong electromechanical experience in rotating equipment such as in Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Compressors, Gearboxes, Diesel Engines, Reciprocating Engines, Centrifuges, Controls and instrumentation, Generators, Pumps or similar.
- A technical mechanical engineering degree would be advantageous.
- Fully remote role, willingness to travel UK wide and stay away 75% of the time.
