Aftermarket Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager required to join a leading engineering Manufacturer specialising in pumps and rotating equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving new business development and managing key accounts across the North (Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield), with a focus on aftermarket services, including pump repair, overhaul, maintenance, and field service contracts. You will play a key role in developing framework agreements across industrial and fire protection sectors, selling engineered service solutions for critical rotating equipment.
The ideal candidate will have direct, recent experience within a pump repair organisation or Pump Supplier environment, with a strong understanding of aftermarket services, field service operations, and customer requirements within industrial or fire pump applications. This is a high-impact role requiring immediate contribution with minimal training.
Package:
- ~£50,000 - £58,000 base salary (depending on experience)

Role:
- Drive new business development across pump repair, overhaul, and aftermarket service contracts within the industrial and fire sectors
- Develop and secure framework agreements with end users across the general industry and fire protection markets
- Manage and grow existing service accounts, ensuring long-term contract retention and expansion
- Sell field service solutions, including maintenance, shutdown support, and reactive service offerings
- Work closely with internal service centres and engineering teams to coordinate project delivery and ensure customer satisfaction
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and technical solutions aligned to customer requirements
- Travel across the Northern region (~4 days per week), with regular visits to service centres.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a sales or business development role within pump repair, rotating equipment services, or aftermarket engineering environments
- Must have direct, recent experience working for a pump service/repair/supplier company.
- Strong technical understanding of pumps, valves, rotating equipment, and associated service solutions
- Experience selling service contracts, maintenance agreements, or framework agreements into industrial or fire markets
- An established network and customer base within the Northern UK region is highly desirable
- Engineering qualification (HNC/HND or equivalent) desirable
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region
