Area Sales Manager in Southend-On-Sea

Technical Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager / Area Sales Manager required to join a manufacturer who specialise in advancedcutting tools for CNC machining.

The Technical Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager / Area Sales Manager will be based from home in the East or South East of England and travel between Kent and Essex to develop new business and increase sales with key accounts. You will support customers with technical queries, present on new cutting tools and offer technical solutions to customers.

The Technical Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager / Area Sales Manager will have a technical background and prior experience operating, programming and setting CNC machines. You will hold a relevant qualification such as a HNC / HND / Degree in an engineering discipline. We are happy to receive applications from candidates who may not have an engineering qualification but do have experience in cutting tools and precision engineering / CNC.

This is a remote position where you will be responsible for meeting customers in the East / South East of England in both Essex and Kent.

Basic Salary up to £55,000

Responsibilities:

• Travel across The East and South East of England to develop new business and increase sales with key accounts.

• Support clients with technical queries, present on new cutting tools and offer technical solutions to customers
• Build relationships with clients and source new business through lead generation, presentations and attending industry events across the South East region

• Manage a sales pipeline through a CRM system
• Complete detailed reports on your sales activity
• Reporting to the Sales Director
• Remote role in the East / South East of England covering Kent and Essex
• Must have prior experience operating, programming and setting CNC machines and be familiar with different Cutting Tools used in CNC Machining

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a Technical Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager / Area Sales Manager / Applications Engineer / Sales Engineer / Regional Sales Manager or Sales Manager or similar
• An engineering qualification such as an HND / HNC / Degree or similar in an engineering discipline OR experience operating, programming and setting CNC machines
