A leading manufacturer of automated packaging machinery is seeking an Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will focus on developing new business opportunities and managing key accounts for automated packaging machinery solutions across the UK.

The ideal candidate will have experience selling capital equipment or machinery within the engineering / manufacturing industry. Experience selling automated packaging machinery would be advantageous, though not a necessity.

Role:

  • Focus on developing new business opportunities and managing key accounts for automated packaging machinery solutions across the UK.
  • Maintain mechanical engineering product and system sales with demonstration, exhibition, and negotiation to achieve targets.
  • Responsible for pre-sales technical assistance as well as providing end solution/application support for all customer needs/requirements.
  • Provide after-sales support services and technical backup as required to customers within various industries such as manufacturing, food & beverage, and more.
  • Field-based covering the UK with regular visits to customer sites. Required to be at the office in Alton when not on the road.
  • Liaise with various engineering departments.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Key Account Manager, Account Manager, Area Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Business Development Manager, Technical Sales Engineer or similar within an industrial engineering environment.
  • Experience selling capital equipment/machinery or systems.
  • Candidates with proven experience selling automated packaging machinery are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • Willingness to work a hybrid mix of office-based and on the road visiting customers.
