Role:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary team of hydraulic designers, engineers, and operational staff.
- Oversee workshop daily operations, ensuring job scheduling, parts availability, and smooth project delivery.
- Manage job progress and quotations.
- Collaborate with production, procurement, and quality teams to streamline operations and ensure product delivery.
- Ensure compliance with H&S requirements through occasional site visits and customer interactions.
- Site based at the Houghton le Spring, (max 1-hour commute).
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of management experience in a hydraulic engineering or fluid power environment.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and the Flick system.
- Experience in managing workshop operations, leading teams, and optimising workshop performance.
- Ability to drive continuous improvement and implement high-quality standards.
- Mechanical engineering background with a strong focus on hydraulics.
- Ability to commute to the Houghton le Spring site 5 days a week.
