A multi-award-winning interior and architecture practice is seeking a Senior Interior Design Lead to join its London team. Renowned for its sophisticated elegance and timeless style, the firm caters to a discerning global clientele, delivering outstanding craftsmanship and intelligent, elegant design solutions. With offices in London and the Middle East, this practice represents the pinnacle of excellence in luxury residential and hospitality projects.

We are looking for a talented, passionate individual who thrives in design, art, and beauty and is ready to take the lead on varied and prestigious projects alongside the director. This opportunity would be ideal for an Associate Interior Designer or Senior Interior Designer with proven experience in the luxury residential or hospitality sectors and confidence in using CAD, Vectorworks, SketchUp, and Photoshop.

Office:

  • Office Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
  • Full time in the office

Duties:

  • Deliver compelling pitches and presentations with confidence in public speaking
  • Design and develop bespoke furniture, including case pieces, upholstery, lighting, and joinery, aligned with the studio’s design philosophy
  • Lead a team of mid-weight designers to produce detailed plans, RCPs, elevations, joinery, and construction drawings
  • Direct creative and conceptual stages of projects, from initial concept to construction documentation
  • Manage FF&E procurement and oversee project budgets
  • Review and develop construction shop drawings and provide detailed solutions to ensure design accuracy during construction
  • Liaise with contractors and subcontractors to ensure proper implementation of designs and resolve any issues effectively
  • Lead the creation and refinement of SketchUp models and assist with rendering stages
  • Oversee snagging processes with contractors and suppliers to ensure quality completion

Requirements:

  • Degree Qualified in Interior Design (or equivalent field)
  • Over 7 years of experience in interior design, with a focus on luxury residential or hospitality projects
  • Strong proficiency in CAD, Vectorworks, SketchUp, and Photoshop
  • Experience designing luxurious interiors with expertise in both interior architecture and FF&E
  • Proven ability to manage teams and lead complex design projects
  • Excellent communication skills (written, spoken, and sketching)
