Service Technician / Mechanic / Pump Engineer required for a pump distributor and service provider based in Austin, Texas. The Service Technician / Mechanic / Pump Engineer will be responsible for the assembly and repair of centrifugal, vertical turbine and submersible pumps.
Package: $28 to $33 per hour + OT, 401 (k) with employer match, Dental, health & vision, PTO.
Responsibilities for Service Technician / Mechanic / Pump Engineer:
- Carry out repair, assembly and disassembly of industrial pumps on site in Austin, Texas.
- Carry out teardown, rebuild, and assembly of Vertical turbine pumps, Split case pumps, Industrial and centrifugal pump systems.
- Coordinate with other technicians across two shop departments, industrial & wastewater.
- Work closely with management to improve processes and quality.
- Ensure safety procedures and best practices are followed in the shop.
Requirements for Service Technician / Mechanic / Pump Engineer:
- Strong background in industrial pumps, specifically Vertical turbine pumps, Split case pumps, positive displacement, centrifugal and waste water pumps.
- Proven experience in a pump shop or rebuild environment.
- Solid mechanical troubleshooting and rebuild skills.
- Experience across both industrial and waste water pumps.
- Based in Austin, Texas or plan to relocate.
