Pressure Test Technician / Hydro Test Technician / Pipefitter required to join a leading manufacturer within the gas compression and process equipment industry based in Houston, Texas.

The successful Pressure Test Technician / Hydro Test Technician / Pipefitter will be responsible for pressure testing skid-mounted process systems, identifying leaks, and carrying out mechanical repairs within a manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background from process piping, screw pipe, skid packages, gas compression, or industrial manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out pressure testing on skid-mounted gas and process systems
  • Identify leaks, pressure drops, and mechanical defects during testing
  • Perform leak repairs and mechanical adjustments within scope of work
  • Set up blinds, gaskets, studs, fittings, and testing equipment
  • Perform oil flushing, vacuum testing, and purge procedures
  • Read and interpret P&IDs and technical drawings
  • Record pressure test results and complete testing documentation
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and clean work areas

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Pressure Test Technician, Hydro Test Technician, Pipefitter, Mechanical Technician, Process Piping Technician, Industrial Maintenance Technician, or similar
  • Mechanical background within process piping, screw pipe, skid packages, or gas compression equipment
  • Experience pressure testing industrial piping or process systems
  • Ability to read and understand P&IDs
  • Experience using hand tools, pneumatic tools, and pipe threading equipment
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and leak detection skills
  • Ability to work within fast-paced industrial or manufacturing environments
