Estimator / Quotation Engineer required for a global manufacturer of measuring equipment used in precision engineering, electronics, medical, automotive and aerospace based near Woking, Surrey. The successful Estimator / Quotation Engineer will be responsible for estimating, quoting and closing sub-contract machining and any metal finishing as required. This role would suit someone from a CNC Machining background wanting to make the move towards sales. It would also suit a current Sales Engineer from a Mechanical background with quoting experience. This is an onsite role, working in the machine shop the successful candidate will need to live within a commutable distance to Woking.
Estimator / Quotation Engineer Package:
- £40,000-£45,000 Base Salary

Estimator / Quotation Engineer Responsibilities:
- Interpret customer requirements from CAD drawings, technical specifications, or computer models.
- Prepare detailed quotations, proposals, and bids for sub-contract machining and metal finishing, with support from Purchasing and Machine Shop personnel.
- Review costs and acceptable margins.
- Support Production Control and Sales Order Processing by inputting new orders into the ERP system.
- Assisting Business Development Managers with customer updates regarding work in progress and delivery dates.
Estimator / Quotation Engineer Requirements:
- Familiarity with CNC machining and manufacturing processes.
- Proven experience either with CNC Machining or Quotation experience within a Mechanical industry.
- Ability to read and interpret CAD/ Engineering drawings.
- Commutable to Woking.
- Customer-focus approach capable of managing both internal and external relationships.
