Applications Manager / Senior Applications Engineer required to join a global manufacturer of machine tools.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the applications team, managing projects, schedules, and resources to ensure technical initiatives are completed on time.
- Develop and write machine programs and optimize manufacturing processes, including tooling, fixturing, and workflow, to improve efficiency and product quality.
- Provide hands-on technical support and programming expertise to clients and partners, solving complex production challenges.
- Design and deliver training sessions that teach programming techniques, advanced manufacturing practices, and product knowledge to internal teams and customers.
- Collaborate with sales teams to evaluate customer needs, develop customized machine programs and turnkey solutions, and support business growth.
Qualifications
- Prior experience with both G code and M code.
- Proficient using CAD/CAM software, ideally SolidWorks, Autodesk or AutoCAD (CAD) and Siemens NX or Mastercam (CAM).
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is advantageous.
- Extensive experience working in the machine tool industry.
- Prior experience using Siemens controls.
