Location: Europe - Remote with occasional travel

We're looking for an experienced Commissioning Planner to support the delivery of hyperscale data centres across Europe. This is a key role within large-scale hyperscale and colocation developments, where you will be responsible for planning and coordinating all commissioning activities through to successful system handover. You will work closely with project management, commissioning teams, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure commissioning programmes are fully integrated, accurately tracked, and delivered on schedule.

The role of a Commissioning Planner:

  • Develop and maintain detailed commissioning schedules across all project phases
  • Integrate commissioning activities into the master project programme (Primavera P6)
  • Coordinate mechanical, electrical, controls, and BMS commissioning sequences
  • Define commissioning milestones, system boundaries, and turnover strategies
  • Track critical path activities and overall commissioning progress
  • Produce look-ahead schedules, recovery plans, and progress reporting
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams across Europe

What we're looking for from a Commissioning Planner:

  • 5+ years’ experience in planning, commissioning planning, or project controls
  • Strong background in data centres, mission-critical, pharma, industrial, or complex MEP projects
  • Solid understanding of commissioning processes and system turnover methodology
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and large-scale project scheduling

Experience of a Commissioning Planner:

  • Hyperscale data centre, or large-scale construction experience
  • Experience with completions management systems (CMS) or digital handover tools
  • Familiarity with Lean Construction or Last Planner System
  • Professional certification (AACE, PMI-SP, or equivalent)
