Service Engineer / Installation Engineer / Commissioning Engineer required to join a rapidly growing renewable energy installation company.

The successful Service Engineer / Installation Engineer / Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing, fault finding and maintenance of heat pump systems, such as Air Source Heat Pumps, Ground Source Heat Pumps, Underfloor Heating, Solar Energy Systems and associated products. This is a field-based role covering the South UK, including Hampshire, Berkshire, Dorset, Oxford, London and surrounding areas.

The Service Engineer / Installation Engineer / Commissioning Engineer will ideally have service or installation experience within plumbing and heating, and relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 2/3 Plumbing & Heating, City & Guilds 6189, WRAS, Unvented Hot Water (G3), Gas Safe, or FGAS, with a proactive mindset towards learning and professional development.

Service Engineer / Installation Engineer / Commissioning Engineer Role

  • Install and commission heat pump systems, including indoor/outdoor units, hot water cylinders, buffers, and expansion vessels.
  • Undertake planned and preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and fault finding of heat pump systems, such as Air Source Heat Pumps, Ground Source Heat Pumps, Underfloor Heating, Solar Energy Systems and associated products.
  • Install or modify radiators, pipework, towel rails, manifolds, and underfloor heating systems.
  • Carry out system pressure testing, filling, purging, and wiring on various Heat Pump systems
  • Complete health & safety and risk assessments on-site.
  • Liaise with customers, trades, and project managers to deliver Heat Pump installations smoothly.
  • This is a field-based role covering the South UK, including Hampshire, Berkshire, Dorset, Oxford, London and surrounding areas.

Service Engineer / Installation Engineer / Commissioning Engineer Requirements

  • Proven background in plumbing/ gas work or electrical work
  • Service or installation experience within plumbing and heating
  • Heat pump installation qualifications (or willingness to complete training).
  • Qualifications such as NVQ Level 2/3 Plumbing & Heating, City & Guilds 6189, WRAS, Unvented Hot Water (G3), Gas Safe, or FGAS would be advantages.
  • Health & Safety and Building Regulations knowledge.
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Field-based covering the South UK, with regular visits near Southampton for part collections or training.
