A Regional Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Account Manager is required to join a packaging machinery manufacturer and a leader within the material handling industry, with a global presence. We are looking for someone with knowledge of material handling and industrial automation solutions.
You must have a strong Mechanical or Electrical background, and strong technical knowledge, to speak to customers on a deeper level and understand their requirements and solution needs.
The role involves working remotely, but candidates must be based in the North East, along the coastal side of the region, to cover: Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine. Typically, this includes the industrial route from Philadelphia to Boston.
Package: €75,000 - $90,000 depending on experience
Commission: Car allowance, 401K
Role Responsibilities:
- Selling a range of Packaging and Material Handling equipment, such as feeding systems (centrifugal and prefeeders), unscrambling and sorting systems, assembly systems, placement systems, and other parts/accessories.
- Acting as a headhunter and being proactive in business development.
- Managing accounts and continuously upselling.
- Following, planning, and executing sales strategies for the region.
- Conducting customer visits, which may involve overnight stays.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of Packaging Systems/Equipment and Material Handling equipment.
- Strong Mechanical background preferred; consideration will also be given to those from a hands-on machinist background looking to transition into sales.
- Experience as a Sales Engineer, Area Sales Manager, Sales Executive, or internal sales looking to step up into an external sales role.
- Must be based in the North East to cover the specified states.
