An established New York design practice is seeking an Intermediate Architect to support the design and delivery of complex urban projects across residential, mixed-use, workplace, and adaptive reuse sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated architect with 4–8 years of experience who is ready to take on greater ownership while continuing to develop both design and technical expertise. The role offers close collaboration with senior design leaders, project architects, and consultant teams in a highly engaged studio environment. The successful candidate will contribute across all project phases, helping translate strong design ideas into coordinated, buildable solutions. This position is ideal for someone who is design-minded, technically confident, and eager to grow within a collaborative, in-person studio culture.

Duties
- Contribute to project design from concept through construction.
- Develop design intent through drawings, models, presentations, and iterative studies.
- Prepare and coordinate drawing packages in Revit through DD and CD phases.
- Coordinate with structural, MEP, façade, interiors, and landscape consultants to develop integrated solutions.
- Apply zoning, building code, and accessibility requirements to project documentation.
- Assist in resolving technical and coordination challenges while maintaining design quality.
- Take ownership of defined portions of projects, including layouts, façade systems, or coordination packages.
- Support site visits and construction administration activities.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to team workflow as responsibilities grow.
Requirements
- Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch).
- 5–8 years of post-graduate professional experience.
- Strong proficiency in Revit.
- Working knowledge of zoning, building codes, and construction documentation.
- Ability to contribute to both design development and technical coordination.
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
- Experience on NYC projects, particularly multifamily residential or mixed-use, is preferred.
- Familiarity with Rhino, Enscape, and Adobe Creative Suite is an advantage.
- Progress toward architectural licensure is desirable.
