Overview

Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Outside Sales Manager is required to join a leading manufacturer, distributor and developer of fuel pumps for heavy-duty diesel applications.

Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Outside Sales Manager will come from a background in mechanical or component sales, ideally with experience selling pumps, fuel systems or related products into the diesel engine, truck or automotive sectors.

Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Outside Sales Manager this role is fully remote, with preference for candidates based near major Midwest and East Coast cities such as Chicago, Detroit, Indianapolis, Cleveland, Columbus, Philadelphia, New York or Boston. These are preferred hubs, not requirements, and the role is open to strong candidates from other locations.

  • Salary $125K – $150K

Responsibilities

  • Covering Midwest and East Coast territories, developing sales of fuel pump systems for heavy-duty diesel applications.
  • Building new relationships with OEMs, distributors and aftermarket partners.
  • Identifying and capitalising on market opportunities created by competitor disruption.
  • Working closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to support technical requirements and deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • Travel will be required – estimated at 50–75%.

Requirements

  • Experience as Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager / Sales Manager / Technical Sales Engineer / Outside Sales Manager.
  • Background in selling pumps, fuel systems, or related components into diesel, truck, or industrial markets.
  • Strong existing network with the ability to generate new business quickly and deliver results within 6 months.
  • Ideally located within the Midwest or East Coast – preferred hubs include Chicago, Detroit, Indianapolis, Cleveland, Columbus, Philadelphia, New York, Boston – but not mandatory.
  • Comfortable with extensive travel (50–75%).
