Quality Inspector / Goods Inwards Inspector / Quality technician / CMM Inspector / CMM Programmer / CMM Operatorrequired to join a leading manufacturer at their Northampton facility.
The Quality Inspector / Goods Inwards Inspector / Quality Technician / CMM Inspector will be responsible for the approval, testing, and inspection of materials, components & assemblies using metrology, measuring and testing equipment (including FARO arms and CMMs) working to ISO9001 & ISO10204.
The successful Inspector / Goods Inwards Inspector / CMM Inspector must have experience carrying out materials or component inspection & testing using metrology equipment (including CMM’s & Faro arms (or other portable measuring arms).

Role
Inspect parts to ensure compliance with approved engineering drawings, including materials, components & assemblies
Using CMMs and portable measuring arms (FARO)
Carry out material/product tests compared to the drawing specifications
Use handheld metrology & inspection tools including Verniers, micrometers, surface testers, shadowgraphs and slip gauges
Use of portable measuring arms, (Faro / Romer arms), CMM’s or similar
Ensure all deliveries are approved and any issues are raised
Read engineering drawings
Reading / interpreting and analysing material certificates to EN10204
Liaise with the R&D and Project Engineering department providing inspection advice
Reporting to the Lead Quality Engineer
Site based in Northampton, with some travel to another site locally
07.00 to 16.15 Monday to Thursday and 07.00 – 12.00 on Friday
Requirements
Experience working as a Quality Inspector / Goods Inwards Inspector / Quality technician / CMM Inspector, 3D Scanning Technician, Metrology Technician, CMM Operator, CMM Operatpr or similar quality / inspection role
Inspection experience using CMMs (coordinate measuring machine), portable measuring arms (Faro / Romer) or similar
Experience working within an Engineering / manufacturing environment
Must be commutable to Northampton with a full UK Driving License
