Service Technician / Field Service Technician / Fire Pump Engineer required to join a leading, well-established service provider of engineering solutions within the fire protection industry based in Florida. The successful candidate will provide mechanical and electrical repair, service, maintenance and commissioning on various fire pump systems, such as horizontal split-case pumps, vertical in-line pumps, vertical turbine pumps, and end section pumps.
The ideal candidate will have a background in mechanical engineering within the municipal sector and extensive experience in the fire pump industry, looking into fire sprinklers, fire alarms & monitoring, electrical services, fire detection & suppression systems.
Package:
- $80,000 - $100,000 Per Year ($38.50 - $48 Per Hour)

Role:
- To provide mechanical and electrical repair, service, maintenance and commissioning on fire pump stations.
- Designing, manufacturing, fabrication and servicing fire pumps & associated products.
- Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs on various pump and fluid power systems.
- Exposure to brands such as TT A-C, Peerless, Patterson, Fairbanks Morse, Armstrong, Reddy Buffalo, Aurora.
- Liaise with various engineering departments.
- Step in and act as a site supervisor when needed.
- Working in confined spaces or at height.
- Build and maintain good working relationships with clients, fellow colleagues and higher management.
- Home-based reporting to an office in Clearwater, FL.
Requirements:
- Proven diagnostic skills with mechanical engineering products such as various fire pump systems.
- Experienced working in the industrial and commercial market, with construction or hospitals being a plus.
- Be factory trained and certified to work on Fire Pump Controllers.
- Certified to perform startups and commissioning for new Fire Pump installations.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and identify the repairs needed and parts required.
- Experience as a Fire Pump engineer, Service Engineer, Commissioning engineer, Fitter, Field Service Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Remote Service Engineer, or similar.
- Experience/qualifications in Civil, Hydraulic, electrical, oil, gas, chemical or mechanical design engineering or someone apprentice trained would be greatly considered.
- Analyse and solve engineering problems and further develop solutions to overcome potential issues that arise.
- Commutable to Clearwater, FL, with flexibility to travel in the local area in West Florida.
