This position supports the onsite implementation of academic operational processes at the direction of the instructional team at the Verto Study Centre to support faculty and students. The role primarily helps coordinate classroom resources, manage key academic support processes such as tutoring, and responds to day‑to‑day priorities that ensure the smooth and successful execution of the academic experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Faculty & Classroom Support: Provide general administrative support to academic staff and faculty for positive classroom experiences, including classroom maintenance, technology support, set‑up, ensuring materials are stocked, and assisting with day‑to‑day needs. Organise and participate in relevant experiential learning activities or excursions, helping students navigate to/from activities. Coordinate requests to support teaching and learning, including preparing necessary academic supplies for classrooms, labs, technology, or course‑specific activities, travelling between instructional sites if relevant, providing classroom and lab checks, and checking in proactively with faculty. Gather and prepare digital and printed course resources in collaboration with faculty, such as printing workbooks, handouts, additional support texts or readings, videos, ensuring privacy and restricted access for quizzes and exams.
  • Learning Support Services & Tutoring: Organise local tutoring spaces and schedules, setting up tutoring spaces and staff spaces as needed; support faculty and staff in encouraging and tracking student attendance at tutoring sessions. Coordinate tutoring availability using scheduling platforms and ensure materials are available. Assist with proctoring for individual students with accommodations, monitoring and managing spaces, scheduling, and logistics for academic accommodations.
  • Academic Operations & Technology: Support the auditing of local course syllabi and Canvas sites, making periodic administrative updates to materials for assigned courses. Be familiar with all academic technology and systems and help students and faculty navigate Canvas, Cengage, etc. Update and print materials related to local academic events, surveys, tutoring, or other academic technology and operations as needed.
  • Assist Academic / Program Leadership and Global Team Support: Support onsite academic staff and local teams with ad‑hoc academic priorities and administrative tasks as needed. Complete basic administrative tasks including data entry, documentation, reporting and other tasks as assigned. Attend academic, local, and global team meetings, and company‑wide meetings as needed. Assist in opening/closing/staffing the study centre, providing reception coverage, ensuring staff coverage at events, facility cleaning, and other location‑specific duties as part of the local team.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Fluency in English and strong professional cross‑cultural communication skills.
  • Must be legally authorised to work in‑country at the time of hire. No visa sponsorship provided.

This position is a temporary, fall semester position, expected to be available full‑time from July to December, as an in‑person role at the Verto study centre programme location.

Preferred Requirements and Qualifications

  • US study abroad or university experience preferred.
  • Strong team orientation and desire to contribute toward team priorities and needs.
  • Maintains a positive, problem‑solving mindset when confronted with unfamiliar and/or complex issues.
  • Role follows the established local staffing schedule, which may vary to accommodate programme needs in the fall semester; some evening or weekend hours may be required.

Compensation

Base salary is one part of the total compensation package. Final base pay will depend on location, experience, skills, and relevant qualifications. The recruiter or hiring manager will share the specific range for your location during the hiring process.
