Due to continued, controlled growth, Vertiv/E&I Engineering Ltd is seeking to recruit Sheet Metal Operators to join our team.
Key Role Accountabilities
  • Read engineering and architectural drawings, sketches, and work specifications to be performed, and lay out, measure and mark sheet metal according to drawings or templates.
  • Operate light metalworking machines such as Guillotine,, Press brake, punches, drills and grinders, including computer numerical control (CNC) equipment to cut, bend, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal.
  • Fit and join sheet metal parts using riveting, welding, and similar equipment to fabricate.
  • Install sheet metal products according to specifications.
  • De Burr Grind and buff seams, joints, and rough surfaces to standard.
  • Inspect product quality and installation to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Position sheet metal sections, join them together, and secure them in place with screws, bolts, or other fasteners.
  • Work with materials such as hot and cold-rolled steel, stainless steel, galvanized steel, aluminium and plastics
