Due to continued, controlled growth, Vertiv/E&I Engineering Ltd is seeking to recruit Sheet Metal Operators to join our team.
KEY ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Read engineering and architectural drawings, sketches, and work specifications to be performed, and lay out, measure and mark sheet metal according to drawings or templates.
- Operate light metalworking machines such as Guillotine, Press brake, punches, drills and grinders, including computer numerical control (CNC) equipment to cut, bend, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal.
- Fit and join sheet metal parts using riveting, welding, and similar equipment to fabricate.
- Install sheet metal products according to specifications.
- De-burr, grind, and buff seams, joints, and rough surfaces to standard.
- Inspect product quality and installation to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Position sheet metal sections, join them together, and secure them in place with screws, bolts, or other fasteners.
- Work with materials such as hot and cold-rolled steel, stainless steel, galvanized steel, aluminium, and plastics.

DESIRABLE SKILLS:
