Are you an experienced Mechanical Fitter looking for a hands‑on role in a high‑quality manufacturing environment?

Due to ongoing expansion, we are hiring multiple Mechanical Fitters to support the mechanical assembly of electrical switchgear and electromechanical systems in our Campsie site. This role suits skilled, practical individuals who take pride in workmanship, quality, and safety.

Key responsibilities

  • Mechanical assembly and fitting of electrical switchgear and electromechanical equipment.
  • Working from engineering drawings, manuals, and technical documentation.
  • Fitting, building, and assembling components for new and repeat products.
  • Ensuring high standards of workmanship and quality throughout the build process.
  • Identifying and reporting defective or non‑conforming components.
  • Completing MTOs and supporting material ordering for allocated tasks.
  • Supporting prototype and development builds.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
  • Working flexibly, including overtime and site support as required.

Essential Skills, Qualifications/Experience

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or Assembler in a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Experience using engineering hand tools and workshop equipment (e.g. punches, saws, benders, torquing tools)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to quality and safety

Desirable Skills, Qualifications/Experience

  • Experience in electrical switchgear manufacture or similar environment
  • Field service or on‑site installation experience
  • Familiarity with Risk Assessments and Method Statements
