As the Operations Manager, you will act as a key senior leader, supporting the Plant Manager and Operations Director to deliver on customer needs while continuously improving performance across all operational areas. Role Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leadership to enhance site performance, efficiency, and safety culture
- Drive operational excellence through measurable continuous improvement initiatives
- Support delivery of site KPIs and budget targets, ensuring effective cost control
- Lead forecasting activities across multiple metrics, including customer demand and resource planning
- Define and implement improvement projects that enhance competitiveness and operational efficiency
- Champion change management and foster a high-performance culture across all teams
- Evaluate existing processes and introduce smarter, more efficient ways of working
- Establish and monitor KPIs to ensure optimal process performance
- Lead and support critical business improvement projects
- Collaborate cross-functionally to meet organisational goals and deadlines
- Support organisational design and workforce planning aligned to business needs
- Provide expert input into corporate initiatives, policy reviews, and change programmes
- Promote employee engagement, motivation, and a people-first culture
- Support HR on industrial relations matters when required
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience within a manufacturing, production, or similar environment
- Strong track record of building and developing high-performing teams
- Experience leading change and delivering continuous improvement (Lean / Six Sigma desirable)
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
- Ability to analyse processes and implement effective solutions
- Degree in Engineering, Operations, Business Management, or a related field (preferred)
- Equivalent industry experience will also be considered
