We are seeking Test Team Operatives/Technician to join our team (3 positions available). This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient testing of our switchgear, while contributing directly to the quality and reliability of our products.

As a Test Team Operative/Technician, you will be at the heart of maintaining the highest standards of safety, accuracy, and performance in our testing processes. By working closely with colleagues across production and project teams, you will help drive our culture of quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities:
  • Ensuring Health and Safety of all personnel in area where live testing is conducted.
  • Ensuring all tools and test equipment are safe, fit for purpose, and have passed necessary inspections.
  • Conduct predefined electrical tests on LV and HV switchgear using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Accurately complete and maintain both digital and manual records of test results.
  • Verification of test results to ensure alignment with predetermined acceptable values.
  • Upload and manage test reports/results in the system repository.
  • Assist with fault diagnosis and remedial actions as needed.
  • Use the Change Order system to flag electrical design issues, including marking up electrical drawings.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and the CAD team to ensure Change Orders are processed effectively.
  • Attend pre-FAT/FWT handover meetings with Project Managers.
  • Attend FAT's/FWT's with clients and customers.

Essential Skills, Qualifications/Experience:
  • Strong technical knowledge of LV switchgear.
  • Have excellent knowledge of switchgear control systems.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering technical drawings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and accountable, with a proactive approach.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Prioritise workload to meet team expectations.
  • High attention to detail.
  • A flexible and collaborative team-oriented mindset.
Desirable Skills, Qualifications/Experience:
  • Previous experience in the manufacture and assembly of electrical switchgear, including wiring of control systems.
  • Prior experience conducting electrical testing.
