Due to continued growth, we are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Digital Engineering Coordinator to join our team and contribute to the successful implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes for our projects. As a Digital Engineering Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate model creation, coordination, data integration, and effective communication among project stakeholders. Your expertise in BIM software, strong organizational skills, and ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment will be essential for excelling in this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and prepare 3D BIM models and deliverables with a high degree of accuracy that reflect the client's design intent, ensuring alignment with Vertiv standards, client requirements, and the associated BIM processes and documentation.
- Create plans, sections, elevations, 3D ISO views, and schedules for coordination, installation, and as-built documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to develop and maintain BIM models that accurately represent project designs and data.
- Coordinate busbar services within multidisciplinary BIM models to identify and resolve clashes, discrepancies, and potential conflicts in design and construction.
- Manage BIM workflows and processes to ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to established BIM standards and protocols.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of BIM content libraries, templates, and families for efficient model development.
- Generate clash detection reports and work with project teams to facilitate issue resolution and coordination efforts.
- Extract accurate quantities and data from BIM models for cost estimation, scheduling, and other project-related purposes.
- Collaborate with BIM managers and project managers to ensure BIM deliverables align with project timelines and objectives.
- Provide training and support to project teams on BIM software and processes, promoting proper usage and adherence to standards.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in BIM methodology and software.
- Participate in regular meetings and communication channels to facilitate effective collaboration among project stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Hold a qualification related to the post in Revit, 3D CAD, or an equivalent.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in BIM coordination and working with BIM software tools.
- Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of BIM principles, standards, and protocols.
- Previous knowledge of busbar systems will be an advantage but not a requirement, as specific training on our products and BIM libraries will be provided as part of the role.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Familiarity with construction and design processes.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience with clash detection and resolution processes.
- Knowledge of quantity extraction and data management from BIM models.
